Job Summary
About the Internship:
The internship program aims to support young graduates in making the transition from academic education to the professional workplace. Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced GWO staff, participate in organizational activities, and develop practical skills relevant to their academic backgrounds.
The program may provide exposure to areas including:
· Finance and Accounting
· Administration and Human Resources
· Procurement and Logistics
· Program and Project Management
· Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)
· Communication and Documentation
· Information Technology
· Community Development and Field Operations
Key Responsibilities:
Depending on the intern’s educational background and assigned department, responsibilities may include:
1. Assist staff with routine departmental activities and documentation.
2. Support data collection, data entry, filing and record keeping.
3. Assist in preparing reports, presentations and other documents.
4. Participate in meetings, trainings and organizational activities.
5. Support project implementation and field activities when required.
6. Assist with administrative, financial, procurement or logistical tasks under supervision.
7. Maintain confidentiality and properly handle organizational information.
8. Follow GWO policies, procedures and professional standards.
9. Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the supervisor.

During the internship, selected graduates will have the opportunity to:

Job Requirements
Eligibility
Applicants should:
· Be a recent university/college graduate or final-year student.
· Have 0 years of professional work experience.
· Hold a degree/diploma relevant to the available internship areas.
· Demonstrate willingness to learn and develop professionally.
· Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
· Have basic computer skills, including MS Word and Excel where relevant.
· Demonstrate professionalism, commitment and a positive attitude.
Previous professional experience is NOT required.

Important Note:
This internship is specifically designed for fresh graduates and individuals with no previous professional work experience. GWO is committed to providing interns with a supportive learning environment and meaningful practical exposure.
Successful interns are expected to demonstrate professionalism, integrity, punctuality, teamwork and commitment throughout the three-month program.
Working conditions:
The position is voluntary and unpaid and no payment for top-up card or transportation cost unless otherwise specified by GWO. Any applicable, communication, or other support will be provided only in accordance with GWO's internal policies and available resources.
Where feasible, the intern may receive a certificate of internship/volunteer service upon successful completion of the assignment.
Code of Conduct and Confidentiality:
The Volunteer Interns must comply with all applicable GWO policies, procedures, and standards, including those relating to:
- Confidentiality and data protection.
- Code of conduct.
- Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA).
- Protection from sexual harassment and other forms of workplace misconduct.
- Safeguarding and protection principles.
- Anti-fraud and anti-corruption.
- Respectful workplace behavior.
- Non-discrimination and equal opportunity.
The intern must not disclose, copy, share, or use confidential personnel or organizational information for unauthorized purposes during or after the internship.
Safeguarding, Ethics, and Confidentiality
The Volunteer Intern is expected to comply fully with GWO's safeguarding, protection, code of conduct, confidentiality, and other relevant organizational policies.
The intern must:
- Treat all beneficiaries, volunteers, staff, and community members with dignity and respect.
- Maintain confidentiality of organizational and personal information.
- Avoid any form of discrimination, harassment, exploitation, or abuse.
- Immediately report safeguarding or protection concerns through established organizational reporting mechanisms.
- Use organizational information, photographs, and personal data only for authorized purposes.
- Conduct themselves professionally and ethically at all times.
Duration and Time Commitment
The internship will initially be for three months, the start and ending date will subject to mutual agreement.
The specific working schedule and number of hours per week will be agreed between GWO and the selected volunteer, taking into consideration organizational needs and the volunteer's availability.
The internship may be extended by mutual agreement based on performance, organizational requirements, and availability.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a voluntary, unpaid internship position. No salary or employment benefits will be provided unless otherwise agreed in writing.
There will be a rotate system of learning in all departments for the intern
Subject to organizational capacity and applicable policies, Green Way Organization may provide:
- Practical experience in NGO communications and social media, admin/finance, logistics, program and HR management.
- Mentorship and professional guidance.
- Opportunities to participate in relevant organizational activities and events.
- A certificate or letter of internship/voluntary service upon successful completion, subject to satisfactory performance.
- Opportunities to develop a professional portfolio of approved work.
Any reimbursement for approved work-related expenses must receive prior authorization from GOW.
PSEA Safeguarding
GWO has a zero tolerance policy with regard to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse and “All forms of sexual exploitation and abuse are incompatible with the universally accepted norms, values, principles and standards that underpin our SOFAR. Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is the responsibility of everyone and all selected candidates will be required to comply with the SOFAR’s PSEA Policy at all times. Selected candidates will therefore undergo rigorous reference and background checks against their past behavior related to sexual exploitation and abuse, and may be required to provide additional information further on in the selection process.
