Job Summary

Important Notice

This Call for CVs is issued for the purpose of identifying and collecting CVs of qualified candidates for a proposed UNDP-funded project. The position is subject to project approval and funding confirmation. Submission of a CV does not constitute an offer of employment or guarantee of recruitment.

Job Purpose

The Monitoring and Reporting Officer will support project monitoring, data collection, analysis, documentation, reporting, and quality assurance to ensure accurate measurement and reporting of project results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project monitoring tools in coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Monitor project implementation against approved workplans, indicators, targets, and timelines.
  • Conduct field monitoring visits to Herat and Farah.
  • Collect, verify, clean, analyze, and maintain project data.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of project information.
  • Track project indicators and prepare regular progress updates.
  • Identify implementation gaps, delays, and challenges and report them to management.
  • Support beneficiary verification, surveys, assessments, and post-activity monitoring.
  • Prepare monitoring reports and contribute to donor reports.
  • Document success stories, lessons learned, challenges, and best practices.
  • Maintain organized monitoring and reporting records.
  • Ensure confidentiality and responsible management of project data.
  • Coordinate with technical officers for timely submission of monitoring information.
  • Perform other relevant duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  •          Bachelor’s degree in statistics, economics, social sciences, development studies, or related fields.
  •           Minimum 5five years of relevant experience in monitoring, indicator tracking, data management, reporting, and documentation.
  •           Experience in field monitoring systems and beneficiary data management is required.
  •         Strong analytical and English writing skills required.
