General Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the pre- opening and operations of a new, modern 80-room hotel in Khost Province, Afghanistan. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, achieving financial objectives, and leading a high-performing team.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant professional qualifications, certifications, or diplomas in hotel or hospitality management will also be considered.

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry.

• At least 5 years of experience as a General Manager or Hotel Manager in a 4-star or 5-star

  hotel.

• Proven pre-opening hotel experience.

• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and revenue management.

• Demonstrated experience in recruiting, training, mentoring, and leading diverse teams.

• Excellent knowledge of hotel operations, guest services, housekeeping, food & beverage,

  maintenance, and front office management.

• Experience implementing international hospitality standards, SOPs, and quality assurance programs.

• Proficiency in hotel Property Management Systems (PMS), Microsoft Office, and hotel reporting systems.

• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent command of English; additional languages are an advantage.

• Ability to deal with owners, guests, government authorities, and business partners.

• Willingness to relocate and work in Khost Province, Afghanistan.
