Job Summary
Promoting related matters and facilitating all aspects related to transfusion and laboratory examinations.
Ø Collecting, receiving, processing, labeling and/or analyzing biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) Operating and maintaining lab equipment like microscopes, centrifuges, and analyzers.
Ø Ensuring the storage and maintenance of related equipment, and Lab reagent specially the sensitive reagent, and blood.
Ø Blood transfusion.
Ø Ensuring that safety guidelines are adhered to at all times with the laboratory.
Ø Maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
Ø Recording all experimental data and test results accurately and in the specified format (written and / or electronic).
Ø Maintain and document all testing activities, sample information, and test results in the hospital's medical records system or paper-based logs. Maintain organized and up-to-date records.
Ø Cleaning, sterilizing, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment.
Ø Collecting the figures of the relevant department.
Ø To express an opinion for improving the performance of the blood bank/laboratory to the hospital administration.
Ø Perform 24-hour resection according to the time schedule prepared by the hospital administration.
Ø Strict adherence to all infection prevention conditions and adherence to medical uniform during official times.
Ø Participating in the meetings of the sub-committee of the affairs and voting work of his/her respective department.
Ø Ordering laboratory supplies as needed.
Ø providing technical support when necessary.
Ø Pursuing the compliance and strict adherence to the standards set in the related department.
Ø Active participation in the quarterly evaluation of the prescribed procedures in the relevant department.
Ø Participating in the preparation of the standards work plan according to the quarterly evaluation and follow-up of the prepared work plan.
Ø Refraining from illegal acts and practices.
Ø Observing all regulations and discipline of the hospital
Job Requirements
Be certified from a recognized institute of health sciences (medical laboratory).
2-3 years working experience as a clinical lab technician in a recognized hospital.
Adherence to strict ethical standards and patient confidentiality.
Should have skill of good communication Dari, Pashto, and English.
Should have skill of computer.
Should have good interpersonal communication.
