Job Description

Job Summary

Momin Hospital is seeking two qualified and experienced Medical Laboratory Technologists to join its laboratory team for the night shift. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing laboratory tests, operating laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests accurately and efficiently
  • Collect, receive, label, and process patient specimens according to established procedures
  • Conduct laboratory investigations in areas such as hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, serology, and other relevant sections
  • Operate, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of laboratory test results
  • Follow laboratory quality control, quality assurance, and standard operating procedures
  • Adhere to infection prevention, biosafety, and waste management protocols
  • Monitor laboratory supplies and report shortages or equipment malfunctions
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory work area
  • Coordinate with laboratory staff, physicians, nurses, and other relevant departments as required
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Laboratory In-Charge or Hospital Management

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Medical Laboratory Science, or a closely related field from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 4–5 years of relevant work experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist
  • Previous experience working in a hospital laboratory is strongly preferred
  • Male candidates only
  • Must be available and willing to work night shifts
  • Relevant professional certifications and training are an advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and techniques
  • Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Knowledge of laboratory quality control and quality assurance procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and integrity
