Job Description

Job Summary

a.         Regular Responsibilities:

·         Care of all critical and noncritical ill neonates in (level 1, 2, 3).

·         Assessment of neonates in life-threatening situations in FMIC.

·         Assure quality of care in NICU, ER, L&D and GW.

·         Assure continuity of care for neonates 24 Hours a day, 7 days a week.

·         Provide information to patient attendants accompanied by consultant. 

·         Perform night duties in NICU.

·         Participate in departmental quality projects.

·         Training/Helping the junior medical officers.

·         Coordinate with the neonatology consultant in case any medical issue arises.

·         Any other assignment by direct supervisor.

 

b.        Periodic Responsibilities:

·         Participation in Mortality Meetings.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Education:

Academic & professional qualifications

·         MD from a recognized University

·         Specialization in Pediatrics

 

Knowledge, competencies, and Skills:

·         Ability to care critical neonates

·         Ability to work under difficult working conditions

·         Excellent Communication and interpersonal skill in Dari, English and Pashto languages

·         Having Good computer skills, especially in MS Office programs

 

Work experience:

·         4 years’ experience in relevant field (specially at NICU)
